INTRODUCTION
Man O' War Nigeria is a voluntary uniform youth organization under the supervision of the Citizenship and Leadership Training Centre Abuja as empowered by the extraordinary Gazette No. 45 of August 10, 1960 and modified by Decree No. 38 of December 1989 Section (7b). The Citizenship and Leadership Training Centre is a parastatal of the Federal Ministry of Youth Development. It took root from the Man O' War Bay Training Centre, a product of the outward bound type of education. The centre was started by Dr. Alec Dickson, a Briton, in Victoria; Southern Cameroon in 1951.
MISSION
Our mission is to positively direct human resources towards the rendering of selfless community services and to offer a unique life experiences that leads to a new understanding and awareness of oneself.
VISION
Our vision is to create a nation where people and communities live together in peace, harmony, and mutual respect so as to accelerate the socio-political and economic development of the nation, which is in line with the C<C vision statement.
CATEGORIES
There are two categories of Man O' War Nigeria.
a. Man O' War Cadet Clubs: whose activities are confined in schools, colleges and other higher institutions of learning.
b. Man O' War Nigeria: which are community-based and are comprises of old students, civil servants, private sector workers etc, they operate through the Units, Area, State, Zonal and National Commands.

MAIN OBJECTIVES
Man O' War's main objectives are summarized as follows;
a. To promote peace and security through community engagement, community profiling and community policing.
b. To accelerate community development by encouraging community participation in self-help and active volunteerism.
c. To empower young people to become responsible citizens and effective leaders in all sphere of lives.

ORGANIZATION
The Man O' War is organized into: Unit, Area, Zonal, State and National Command, they are supervised by the Directorates Headquarters (the parent body) the Citizenship and Leadership Training Centre. The activities of the Man O' War are coordinated by a thirteen-man management team at each command level. The National Commander presides over the general supervision of the Unit, Area, State and Zonal Command as well as the NUMOCHIN and he is responsible to the Directorate Headquarters.
ACTIVITIES
The Man O' War Nigeria conducts a variety of activities and provides various services. These includes:
a. Camping and Training
b. Social Engagement: Traffic control, crowd control, environmental sanitation, visiting, hospitals, motherless babies homes and orphanages.
c. Technical Activities: First aid, life saving, mapping, compass work, fire-fighting, rope knotting etc.
d. Community Security: Community profiling, community mobilization and policing.
e. Physical Activities: Rope obstacle courses, swimming, rock climbing, assault course, physical exercise etc.
f. Mental Activities: Symposium, discussions, debate, lecture, quiz etc
g. Vocational Activities: Those include Agriculture, Piggery, Horticulture all forms of Animal Husbandry, Gardening etc.
h. Leadership Training/ Value Re-orientation programme for Corp members during NYSC orientation programmes.
